JOB TITLE: Administrator
RESPONSIBLE TO: Women’s Development
PURPOSE OF JOB: To provide full administrative support for the Centre in relation to the Lottery funded Community Project
Desirable: Ability to speak English and at least one other Asian language.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES – SPECIFIC
-
To develop, maintain and keep all records of attendance and other monitoring data.

To deal with day-to-day enquiries- visitors, telephone calls, emails.
-
To provide full admin support to the coordinator, ensuring programmes are arranged and set up, ensuring health & safety / Covid compliance.

To carry out research and gather information as required.

To recruit and advertise for people to come to sessions.
-
To record participation daily and any improvements over time.
-
To promote best practice in Safeguarding and Health and Safety and Risk Management practice including Covid 19 compliance
-
To provide written reports and information for the Coordinator and Committee as required
-
To carry out any other reasonable duties as required by the Committee.
Terms & conditions of employment
Title of post: Administrator
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Place of work:
Salary: £20 per hr 3 hours per week Up to 3 years
Probationary period: 1 month.
Notice period: Two weeks on either side.
Smoking: There is a No smoking Policy but there are designated smoking areas.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
The person appointed must fulfill the following requirements:
1) Hold a professionally based administrative qualification or have a proven track record and experience of working with and providing activities for the community within a disadvantaged multi-cultural community setting. (Minimum one year)
2) Experience of using ICT equipment and programmes including word, excel, PowerPoint and other software programmes.
3) Experience of gathering information and recording data.
4) Be a self starter, motivated to show initiative and get people involved.
5) Have good verbal reasoning and general communication skills – being able to relate to colleagues, and organizations alike.
6) The ability and determination to see tasks through to completion in an organised manner, reporting on monitoring outcomes as required by programme funders and the committee.
7) To understand and give full commitment to equality and diversity and Safeguarding.
8) Ability to write and speak in both English and at least one other Asian language.
9) Understanding and knowledge of the needs of and issues faced by the Asian Community living in a multi disadvantaged community.

RESPONSIBLE TO: Chair
PURPOSE OF JOB: Coordinating all activities; recruiting/training volunteers; managing/supervising staff; recruiting participants; building relationships; delivering community activities
Desirable: Ability to speak English and at least one other Asian language.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES – SPECIFIC

To set up and deliver services to help girls and women with their employability – using the internet to search and apply for jobs, writing up employment histories, preparing for interviews,
-
To set up services to gain skills which will help girls & women access further education, training and / or employment.

Provide specific opportunities for girls and women to meet, socialise, talk, play table games, exercise, talk about health & wellbeing, undertake classes to help them access further education, training, or employment.
-
Provide volunteering opportunities for the community.
-
Provide Health and wellbeing activities exploring healthy eating, diet, nutrition, mental and physical health & wellbeing.
-
To work with other organisations to provide activities at the centre including music; arts; dance; drama; sports, education, health and wellbeing, and other activity.
